Because who you book with matters as much as where you go.
When you work with me, you’re working with someone who has invested seriously in this craft — not just a hobbyist with a booking link. Every credential below represents real training, real testing, and in most cases, firsthand experience on the ships, trains, and destinations I recommend.
Certified Travel Professional (CTP)
The CTP designation is awarded to graduates of Careers on Vacation, an intensive 12-week business training program that culminates in a comprehensive final exam. This isn’t a casual online course — it’s designed to develop serious travel business owners and deliberately filters out the hobbyists.
What that means for you: you’re working with someone who has demonstrated a professional-level commitment to this industry — someone who understands not just destinations, but how to run a business built squarely around your best interests. You’ll notice the difference in how your questions are handled, how your trip is structured, and how any complications get resolved.
Travel Leaders Network Member
Travel Leaders Network is one of the largest and most respected travel agency networks in North America, with thousands of member agencies and preferred relationships with the world’s top cruise lines, tour operators, hotels, and airlines. Membership isn’t open to everyone — it requires meeting professional standards and maintaining active engagement with the network’s supplier and training programs.
What this means for you: as a Travel Leaders member, I have access to exclusive rates, preferred supplier programs, and industry resources that independent advisors outside the network simply don’t have. You can also find and verify my profile directly on the Travel Leaders website.
Cruise Line Certifications
Formally certified with Princess Cruises, Explora Journeys, Oceania Cruises, and Virgin Voyages. Each certification goes deep into that line’s ships, itineraries, onboard culture, and what makes the experience distinct — so I can give you an honest, nuanced comparison rather than a generic sales pitch.
But the real education happens on the ship. I’ve personally sailed multiple lines, including time in premium sections like The Sanctuary on Princess and Yacht Club — which is how I know the difference between what a brochure promises and what a cruise actually feels like. That’s what lets me match travelers to the right line for them, not just any line with availability.
Rail Certifications
Rail travel is one of the most scenic and underrated ways to explore a destination — and getting it right comes down to knowing the details. I’m certified with Rocky Mountaineer, one of the world’s most celebrated luxury train journeys, which means I know the routes inside out: the difference between GoldLeaf and SilverLeaf service, which direction to travel for the most spectacular views, and exactly which upgrades are worth the investment.
I’m also trained with Railbookers, which lets me build fully customized rail itineraries across multiple countries. Whether you want one iconic train experience or a grand multi-country rail adventure stitched together with carefully chosen stops, I can design it around your pace and style.
AmaWaterways
River cruising is one of the most immersive ways to experience Europe, and AmaWaterways is consistently at the top of the category. My certification covers their ships, itineraries, stateroom categories, and the unique experiences they offer — from active excursions to wine-themed sailings to intimate shore visits that larger ocean ships simply can’t access.
If you’ve been curious about river cruising but aren’t sure where to start, I can walk you through exactly what to expect and whether it’s the right fit for your travel style.
Italy Specialist
Italy is one of those destinations that rewards depth. A surface-level itinerary will get you to the Colosseum and the canals — but it won’t get you to the right version of Italy for you, your pace, and your interests.
I’m currently completing the Italy Specialist certification through the Travel to Italy Academy, a rigorous program created by Italy’s official national tourism board, ENIT. Twenty modules covering regions, culture, cuisine, hidden gems, transport, and seasonal nuance. When complete, it adds a meaningful layer of depth to the Italy trips I’m already planning — and if Italy is on your list, I’d love to help you do it right.
Ready to plan something extraordinary?
Let’s talk about where you want to go. I’ll put my credentials and firsthand experience to work finding the right trip for your travel style, budget, and bucket list.
